Among these are the Knysna loerie, secretary bird, fish eagle, our national bird the blue crane and once a year stork`s even visit the area. These are but a few of the larger species. Then there are a multitude of small birds such as different types of woodpeckers, various species of hummingbirds and kingfishers. Blackwattle is under control and regularly cut for firewood, of which there is always an abundance and very handy when you have guests and want to create a cozy atmosphere inside or outdoors.
The property has three houses on it. There are also servant`squarters, two large sheds and carports.

The main house was built in 1875 and boasts with original yellowwood floors and ceilings.
You will also find works of Oregon pine and hard pear inside the building. This is an extremely rare find. The main house is combined in three main dwelling spaces with an anteroom that leads through to the living room then from the living room through to the kitchen side.
This house has a huge pantry with original built in yellowwood cupboards and yellowwood shelves right to the ceiling which is about 4 meters high.
The house also has two entertainment areas of which the first one has a huge fireplace where you can make a relaxing and cozy atmosphere with a glass of wine and enjoy the peacefulness that you experience on Kleinvlei.
And then the second entertainment area also has a fireplace with a Jacuzzi, ideal to have a braai with friends and family.
In between the two entertainment areas there is a big kitchen, where you can make a lovely kook and bake place for mom. And space for a nice Big breakfast nook in the center will work perfect.
It also has two bathrooms and an attic. The front porch has a view over the farm and the Outeniqua Mountains; here you will experience the tranquillity and beauty of Kleinvlei Farm.

The second house was built in the early 1800`s
And was the first house built on Kleinvlei, were they then stayed while they built the main house.
The house is a two bedroom thatch roof building, very interesting cabin layout. It has a fireplace inside the kitchen and outside fireplace with a beautiful entertainment area and Koi pond as you enter at the front. A stress-free atmosphere one can only fall in love with.

The third house was built recently and is a more modern house with a tile roof.
With an open plan two bedroom house this house has a lot of potential for extension. It has a beautiful view of the mountains. Both of the bedrooms have built in cupboards and it has a big bathroom.
In front of the house is a nice porch that is ideal for building a deck out and to put in a braai would be the perfect place to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee to start your day.
